Licensed Allianz agent — AAJI, AASI & AAUI all active

Allianz cover, with someone who stays until the claim is paid.

Buying a policy is the easy part. The hard part is choosing benefits that actually match your situation, disclosing your medical history so precisely that no claim can later be voided, and handling the paperwork while your family is standing in a hospital corridor. That is where I work — in English, if that is easier for you.

Consultation and needs analysis are free. There is no obligation to buy anything afterwards.

What moves fast here is not the premium. It is the bill.

Three numbers explain why cover arranged five years ago is often no longer enough today.

17.8%

Projected Indonesian medical inflation for 2026

Against general inflation of roughly 2.5%. Hospital costs are rising far faster than anyone's ability to save against them.

Increase in the cost of treating a stroke

Allianz internal data records a rise of more than two and a half times between 2020 and 2025. Cancer costs doubled; cardiac costs rose up to threefold.

Estimate the sum assured you need

Five figures, and you will see roughly how much cover it would take to keep your household running. This is a tool for thinking, not a quotation.

Estimated sum assured to arrange

Rp0

  • Income replacementRp0
  • Education fundingRp0
  • Debt settlementRp0
  • Final & transition costsRp0
  • Funds already heldRp0

Assumes Rp450 million of education cost per child to undergraduate level and Rp75 million of final expenses. The result is a rough estimate to help you think, not a financial recommendation, a quotation, or part of any policy. Actual figures come from a full needs analysis and Allianz underwriting.

How we would work together

The process is deliberately slow at the front. The most expensive mistakes in insurance are almost always made before the policy is issued, not after.

You can stop at any step, at no cost and with no obligation.

Start with step one
  1. First conversation

We talk through your dependants, health history, income and the cover you already hold — including BPJS and anything from your employer.

    30–45 minutes
  2. Written needs analysis

You receive a summary of the gaps found and the reasoning behind each one. If your cover is already adequate, I will tell you that.

    2–3 working days
  3. Official illustration & plan comparison

An Allianz-issued illustration setting out premium, benefits, exclusions and waiting periods. We go through the exclusions line by line.

    One meeting
  4. Application & underwriting

I sit with you through the application form so your medical history is disclosed correctly. This stage decides whether your future claims are safe.

    7–21 working days
  5. Annual review & claims support

A policy review each year, and full support when you claim — including when documents need completing or a decision needs appealing.

For the life of the policy

Three licences, three lines of business. Please check them.

Most agents hold one. These three are what allow one person to handle your life and health cover, your sharia option and your property and business insurance — without handing you to someone else. All are on public registers you can search right now.

The same advice applies to any agent. Before you hand over medical information or sign anything, ask for the licence number and check it on the association register. It is a reasonable request, and a legitimate agent will not mind.

Questions people ask most

Yes. Foreign nationals holding a KITAS or KITAP can generally be underwritten for Allianz Indonesia policies. You will normally need your stay permit, passport and an Indonesian bank account for premium payment.

Acceptance still depends on underwriting, exactly as it does for Indonesian applicants. Age, medical history and the plan you choose all affect the outcome. Bring your permit details to the first conversation and we can establish very quickly what is realistic.

This depends on the product, and it is a question to settle before you buy rather than after. Some policies continue with cover restricted to the stated territory; others assume you are resident in Indonesia.

If there is a realistic chance you will relocate within the next few years, say so at the outset. It changes which territory of cover makes sense, and occasionally it changes whether buying here is the right decision at all. I would rather tell you that early.

Policy wording and binding terms are issued in Indonesian. That is standard for Indonesian insurers and is a legal requirement, not a limitation of this agency.

What can be handled in English is everything around it: the consultation, the explanation of benefits, the application process and claims support. Before you sign, I will walk you through the clauses that matter most — exclusions, waiting periods, pre-existing conditions and territory — in English, line by line. If it would help, bring a bilingual friend or your own adviser to that meeting.

They are not alternatives. BPJS Kesehatan provides treatment according to your class of membership through a tiered referral system, and it is a sound foundation.

Private cover is generally used to widen the choice of hospital and room class, reach specialists without queueing for a referral, and provide cash benefits that replace income lost during treatment. Most of my clients run both. What needs checking is that the combined premium remains sensible against your income.

Four causes account for most of them:

  • Medical history not disclosed on the application form — by far the most common, and almost always unintentional.
  • The claim falls inside a waiting period that has not yet elapsed.
  • The condition sits on the policy's exclusion list.
  • The policy has lapsed because premiums went unpaid past the grace period.

Three of those four are entirely preventable before the policy is issued. That is why I spend more time at the beginning than at the close.

Not necessarily, and this deserves an honest answer. Products combining protection with investment carry a different cost structure from pure protection, and the investment value is not guaranteed — it can fall as well as rise.

For some people, separating protection from investment makes more sense. I will show you the cost structure of both approaches before you choose. The investment decision remains yours, and I am not a licensed investment adviser.
