The person who will pick up the phone.
In this industry what matters is not the logo on the brochure. It is whether anyone still answers three years after the policy is issued.
How I work
Most insurance problems are not born on the day a claim is submitted. They were planted much earlier — in a medical history field left blank because it seemed trivial, or an exclusions page nobody read together before signing.
So the process is deliberately front-loaded. The conversation about your health history happens earlier, lasts longer and goes into more detail than the conversation about products. Some people find that tedious. Others decide not to buy once they learn their condition would be excluded. Both outcomes are far better than a policy issued today and declined five years from now.
What three licences actually mean for you
Most insurance agents hold a single licence, usually AAJI covering life and health. For anything beyond that — insuring your house, your shophouse or your business assets — you get handed to someone else who does not know your circumstances.
I hold three active licences: AAJI for life and health, AASI for the sharia line, and AAUI for general insurance. Your family protection and your business assets can be arranged as one coherent picture, by one person, with one continuous conversation behind it.

What I do, and what I don't
I do
- A written needs analysis before any product discussion
- Plan comparisons with the cost consequences spelled out
- Sit with you through the application and underwriting paperwork
- Annual policy reviews, including policies from other companies
- Full claims support, including appeals
I don't
- Promise investment returns or future cash values
- Give investment, tax or legal advice — I am not licensed for that
- Suggest cancelling an existing policy without first calculating what you would lose
- Hold back exclusion details until after the policy is issued
- Keep contacting you after you have said you are not interested
On commission
Allianz pays me commission on policies that are issued, and the rate differs between products. You are entitled to know that, because it means I have a financial interest in this conversation.
My way of handling it is simple. Whenever I recommend something I explain the technical reasoning, and you are free to ask whether a lower-premium option exists. If one does, I will name it. You can also take time to compare with another agent.
Start with a question, not a product
Tell me your situation. If your cover is already adequate, that is what I will say.
