Five kinds of cover, one order of priority.

Not everyone needs all of it. This page helps you see which is urgent for your situation and which can wait.

The order that usually makes sense

When the budget is limited — and it nearly always is — this is the sequence I suggest as a starting point for discussion. It can change depending on your circumstances.

  1. Health cover first

The risk that occurs most often and drains savings fastest. A single serious hospitalisation can consume years of accumulated funds.

    See health insurance
  2. Life cover, if anyone depends on your income

If nobody would struggle financially without you, this need is small. If someone would — partner, children, parents — it becomes the second priority.

    See life insurance
  3. Business income protection, for owners

For business owners, operations stopping usually does more damage than assets breaking. Business interruption and liability cover belong here.

    See business insurance
  4. Assets and property

Homes and commercial buildings, with the flood and earthquake extensions that are relevant almost everywhere in Indonesia.

    See property cover
  5. Long-term accumulation

Education funding and retirement preparation. Last not because it is unimportant, but because without the four layers above it is the first thing raided when something goes wrong.

Not sure where to start?

That is the most common starting point I encounter. Describe your situation and we will put it in order together.
